In this situation, a solution is to use multi-function clamps and in the gap between the bonnet and the grille, grab the rest of the lever or the untwisted portion of your lever and pull it with force. This will open the locked bonnet of your Land Rover Range Rover Sport. Then if it is twisted, try to straighten it with your pliers.

unofix. You have to open the passenger door (RHD cars) so the the bonnet release handle can be pulled fully back ( Twice) to unlatch the bonnet catch. On LHD cars it is of course the drivers door which makes more sense. With the door closed the handle can not be pulled fully back and so the latch will not release.
Update 31 October 2020: According to several news sites, a Ford spokesperson said that the company has found the cause of the battery problems in the Kuga PHEV. Solution. remove the bonnet lock. and put a small cable tie around the cross end on the plastic rod. Put the lock. back together and hey presto, the cable tie stops the rod sliding in to. QORp.
